  • "Gum Printing" by Christina Z. Anderson

    Summer, 2016
    Christina Anderson has graciously included a few of my gum prints, along with information about my process and practice, in her new book, "Gum Printing: a Step-by-Step Manual, Highlighting Artists and their Creative Practice", published by Routledge/Focal Press in 2016. The work is featured along with that of other gum printers in the "Contemporary Artists" chapter. It's an honor to have my work included alongside that of many talented gum printers whose work I admire.

  • Out of the Blue: Explorations in Cyanotype

    Photosynthesis Gallery in Manchester, CT is hosting an interesting and eclectic exhibition of works made using the cyanotype process. I'm proud that one of my prints was selected by the juror, Jessica Ferguson, to be shown alongside the work of many outstanding artists. The online gallery for the show can be seen here.   • International Juried Photographic Solarplate Exhibition: October 1 - November 13, 2016

    One of my new photointaglio prints, "Earth and Sky", has been selected for this exhibition, which will take place this fall at Alex Ferrone Gallery, North Fork, New York. I'm very pleased to have been selected by the juror, Dan Welden, among a field of amazing printmakers and photographers.

  • Light Sensitive 2016 at Art Intersection

    I'm honored and excited to announce that two of my new photointaglio prints, "On the Horizon" and "Squash Leaves" were selected for this year's Light Sensitive exhibition at Art Intersection in Gilbert, AZ. Light Sensitive features handmade photographic works by national and international artists, and will run from March 5 - April 16, 2016. I've been privileged to have shown some of my gum bichromate prints in this event in past years, and grateful for the chance to stretch my boundaries with another process this time! Art Intersection is a wonderful organization. It's well worth a visit, anytime, if you're in the Phoenix area. I hope you'll have a chance to see this exhibition!

  • "What's Old Is New Again": Alternative Photographic Processes

    Two of my prints, "Koi Shadows" and "Tile Corner" were accepted for this exhibition, juried by Jill Enfield, at Gallery 136 1/2 at PhotoSynthesis, Manchester CT. The exhibition opened June 13 and ran through July 11, 2015. I was proud to be a part of this excellent show!

  • Light Sensitive 2015 at Art Intersection

    I had the honor of exhibiting 13 of my gum prints alongside works by Erin Malone and Douglas Collins at Art Intersection's annual "Best of Light Sensitive" show, which ran from December 12, 2014 through January 10, 2015 in Gilbert, AZ.

  • Boise Department of Arts and HIstory Sesqui-Shop

    Nine of my gum bichromate prints from the "Stoops" series will be on display during the month of April at downtown Boise's Sesqui-Shop, 1008 Main St. This is a community cultural space for exploring and enhancing Boise's sense of place. This month's theme is "architecture", so please stop by during April to see my prints, along with a fascinating exhibition about Boise architect Arthur Troutner.

  • Light Sensitive 2014!

    Once again I'm honored to be included in Art Intersection's annual alt-process exhibition, Light Sensitive! Two of my gum prints, "Adrift" and "Tanks", are on their way to Gilbert, AZ.

  • The Alternative Approach

    I'm excited to have one of my prints, "North End Eggs", selected for The Kiernan Gallery's juried exhibition, "The Alternative Approach". This promises to be a great show, and I'm honored to be one of the participants!

  • "Stoops" on Captive Werewolf online gallery

    Six gum bichromate prints from my "Stoops" series are currently featured on Captive Werewolf, a web-based gallery curated by Christopher Clark.   • Cyanotype workshop returns Dec. 11, 2010

    Due to popular demand, another cyanotype printmaking workshop is being planned for Saturday, Dec. 11 from 10AM to 4PM. If you're in the Boise, ID area and would like to learn how to make cyanotypes, please join us at Wingtip Press for a day of fun. Even though the sun isn't dependable at this time of year, Wingtip Press has a UV exposure unit that we'll use for our sunlight!

  • Cyanotype Workshop in Boise, ID

    November 6, 10 AM - 4 PM

    Join me at Wingtip Press for a one-day workshop in the historical photographic printing process known as cyanotype. We will create beautiful Prussian blue images from photographic negatives and found objects and print them on assorted papers and fabric.

    We'll learn the simple steps of creating a cyanotype: coating, exposing, and developing. We'll also experiment with techniques for modifying the lovely blue color by dipping our prints in assorted toners, including ordinary tea.
